Malacañang has announced the suspension of work in the Executive Branch from 3 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 25, to allow workers to spend time with their families and celebrate Kainang Pamilya Mahalagay Day.

Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin signed Memorandum Circular No. 32 on Wednesday, Sept. 21, detailing the suspension.

Based on the Palace memorandum, work in government offices in the Executive Branch shall be suspended from 3 p.m. on Sept. 25.

However, agencies whose functions involve delivering basic health services, preparedness/response to disasters and calamities, and performing other vital services shall continue their operations and render the necessary services.

Meanwhile, Malacañang encouraged all government workers in the Executive Branch to fully support the Family Week Celebration programs prepared by the National Committee on the Filipino Family.

It likewise urged the other branches of government, independent commissions or bodies, and the private sector to allow Filipino families to celebrate the 31st National Family Week.

Based on the Palace memorandum, the suspension is pursuant to Proclamation No. 60 of 1992, which declared the last week of September of every year as Family Week.
