A total of 295 out of 559 takers passed the Aug. 2023 licensure examination for guidance counselors, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) said on Tuesday, Aug. 22.

With an average of 90.90 percent, Justine Grace Ramos Loteria from Asian Theological Seminary (ATS) in Quezon City topped the board exam conducted last Aug. 16 to 17.
Alyzza Louize Valenzuela Malibiran with an average of 88.40 percent from Philippine Normal University (PNU) Manila and Christian Howell Levardo Gerez from De La Salle University (DLSU) in Dasmarinas finishing with an 88.20 percent average, meanwhile, notched the top 2 and 3 ranks, respectively.
The examination took place in Metro Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Koronadal, Lucena, and Rosales.
The board exam was facilitated by the Board of Guidance and Counseling headed by its chairman, Elena V. Morada, and members, Elena V. Morada and Carmelita P. Pabiton.
Meanwhile, passers may register online for their Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration on Oct. 11 to 13.
PRC added that board passers can view the instructions for initial registration at www.prc.gov.ph
Those who will register, however, are required to bring the downloaded duly accomplished oath form or "Panunumpa ng Propesyonal," notice of admission, two pieces of passport-sized pictures (colored with white background, and a complete name tag), two sets of documentary stamps and one short brown envelope.
Furthermore, PRC said the date and venue of the oathtaking will be announced soon. (Rhowen Del Rosario)
