BAGUIO CITY – Acting Mayor Faustino Olowan issued Executive Order No. 98-2023 suspending classes on all levels and work in city government offices here on Thursday, July 27, due to the impact of typhoon “Egay.” Olawan added that work in all government agencies not otherwise providing critical emergency services is likewise suspended subject to clearance from their regional or central office. Suspension of work in private business establishments and offices shall be at the prerogative of their respective heads. The vehicles number coding here was also suspended. This city continues to experience strong winds and heavy rains from Egay. The EO said sustained inclement weather has caused wide-scale power outages, road obstructions, and infrastructure damage. As a result, the city Disaster Risk Reduction and Management cluster remains on high alert.
