Malacanang has declared Monday, May 22, a special non-working day in Malabon City to "enable the people to celebrate and participate in the city's 424th Founding Anniversary." "The Office of the Mayor requested that 22 May 2023, Monday, be declared as a special (non-working) day in lieu of 21 May 2023 which falls on Sunday," Proclamation No. 228 read. The city government said the residents should be given full opportunity to join the program and activities that it has prepared. In line with the celebration, the city has organized pageants, parades, a cooking festival, street games, and talent competitions to commemorate the founding anniversary. The city government also invites residents from nearby cities to visit the city and catch the exciting activities. ###
