Two lady solons took to Facebook to express their heartfelt appreciation to House Speaker Martin Romualdez for initiating a relief drive for the victims of severe tropical storm (STS) “Paeng”.

Thanking Romualdez on social media were Maguindanao and Cotabato City 1st district Rep. Bai Dimple Mastura and Laguna 1st district Rep. Ma. Rene Ann Lourdes Matibag.
“ALHAMDULILLAH! For having a generous & kind hearted House Speaker Martin Romualde,” Mastura wrote in a Facebook post.
We give much thanks to the kind-heartedness of House Speaker Ferdinand Martin Romualdez and to TINGOG Party List Representatives Yedda Romualdez & Jude Avorque Acidre for their immediate and quick response to the needs of STS Paeng’s victims),” she added.
Matibag, in a separate post, highlighted the continuing effort of the House leadership in collecting donations that would be used to address the needs of the families affected by Paeng’s onslaught.
Since this office doesn’t have calamity funds like the executive branch as we in Congress are focused on our legislative function, Speaker Romualdez worked hard to collect donations, which he distributed to congressmen who were looking to provide their constituents with relief goods),” said Matibag.
The first district of Laguna was among those severely affected by STS Paeng that’s why I give big thanks to Speaker Romualdez for delivering aid to our district),” she further said.
