This, as Duterte, who also serves as Department of Education (DepEd) secretary, marked her 100th day in office on Friday, Oct. 7.

“The first 100 days of Vice President and [DepEd] Secretary Sara Duterte saw the opening of face-to-face classes and has been managed exceptionally well,” said Dalipe, the House majority leader.

“This is no small feat considering the complexity of the preparations that are needed to ensure the safety of students as the Covid-19 pandemic remains a threat,” he said.

“The DepEd under VP Sara also responded well in handling the controversy over the overpriced laptops by immediately ordering a deeper probe. In just 100 days, VP Sara has shown that she is an excellent leader and a reliable partner of VP for President [Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’] Marcos [Jr.],” added Dalipe.

Frasco, a deputy speaker in the House, had similar glowing words for Duterte. “I would also give Vice President Inday Sara Duterte the highest grade of excellent,” he said when asked to react on the lady official’s first 100 days.

“As education secretary she immediately set out a plan to bring our children back to school for full face-to-face classes without jeopardizing their health and safety,” he said.

“VP Inday Sara has underscored the importance of providing quality education to our students, education being a key factor in the success of their lives as well as our nation’s competency and competitiveness in the global job market,” Frasco further said.

The Cebu solon also gave Marcos “the highest grade of excellent” for the latter’s first 100 days in Malacañang.

Duterte was Marcos’s running mate under the UniTeam banner during the May 2022 polls, wherein both won via historic majority mandates.
