BARMM vaccination

In a related development, DOH Officer-in-Charge Maria Rosario Vergeire asked the help of the officials of Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) to increase the Covid-19 vaccination coverage in the region.

Vergeire on Thursday paid a courtesy call to BARMM Chief Minister Ahod Ebrahaim to discuss the implementation of Covid-19 vaccination program in the area.

“We will need your support to provide vaccines to the different settings in the region—our schools, markets, offices, and the community,” said Vergeire.

Based on DOH data, around 3.2 million people in BARMM are eligible for Covid-19 vaccination. However, only 1.5 million individuals have so far been fully vaccinated, while 163,308 people received their first booster shots as of July 21, 2022.
