The coronavirus disease (COVID-19) situation is getting to be more manageable and less worrisome that the Department of Health (DOH) has decided to stop issuing daily case bulletins starting next week, and instead release weekly reports focusing on critical and severe cases.

This, as the daily number of cases was reported at just over 1,000 on Tuesday, March 1, 2022, which also saw no fatality being posted. The United States has also donated another batch of more than 760,000 doses of Pfizer vaccines as part of the COVAX facility.

Concern over the Russia-Ukraine conflict has also mounted with some candidates in the May 9, 2022 polls urging the government to make a more committed stand to denounce Russia.

These are among the top stories this Wednesday morning, March 2, 2022.
