YANGON — Myanmar has recorded no daily deaths from COVID-19 for seven days in a row, leaving the total death toll unchanged at 19,310, according to a release from the Ministry of Health on Sunday.

The total number of COVID-19 cases has risen to 535,254 in the country after 174 new cases with a daily positivity rate of 1.87 percent were reported in the past 24 hours, the release said.

An additional 92 recovered patients were discharged from hospitals on Sunday, bringing the total number of recoveries to 513,193 so far in the Southeast Asian country.

According to the ministry’s figures, over 18.8 million people in Myanmar have been fully vaccinated as of Saturday.

Myanmar detected its first two COVID-19 positive cases in March 2020.
