The Light Rail Transit Authority announced Monday that LRT-2 will have shorter operating hours on Christmas Eve, Dec. 24, and New Year’s Eve, Dec. 31.

In an advisory, the LRTA said the last commercial train trip from Cubao station (westbound) and Recto station (eastbound) on Dec. 24 will depart at 8 p.m.

The last trip on Dec. 31 from the both stations will be 7:30 p.m.

During  regular operations, the last train from Cubao station leaves at 8:30 p.m. while that at Recto station is at 9 p.m.

The LRTA said the shortened operating hours is in anticipation of a “decline in ridership” and to allow station personnel to celebrate the holiday season with their families.
