The Philippine Coast Guard has deployed more than 1,400 of its personnel to inspect vessels and monitor passengers in all ports Thursday as part of the “Oplan Biyaheng Ayos:Pasko 2020.”

“From 12 a.m. to 6 a.m. today, December 24, 2020, the PCG has deployed a total of 1,461 personnel,” the PCG said in a Facebook post.
Their personnel, PCG said, inspected 153 vessels and 19 motorbancas.
It also monitored 5,338 outbound passengers and 4,256 inbound passengers in all ports nationwide.
A day before, the PCG also deployed a total of 1,463 personnel who inspected 304 vessels and 325 motorbancas, and monitored 14,370 outbound passengers and 12,315 inbound passengers in all ports nationwide.
To note, aside from upholding maritime security and maritime safety, the PCG also assists in the strict implementation of health protocols to promote public safety during the Christmas season amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
